Some subjects we do not write about or publish, whatever the price. This list comes from section 10 of the Terms of Service, and it applies to every order, including the free start.
What we do not produce or publish
- Adult or sexual services
- Gambling or betting of any kind
- Counterfeit or replica goods
- Hacked or pirated material
- Illegal drugs or weapons
- Malware and phishing
- Financial scams
- Deceptive health or income claims
- Anything unlawful, or aimed at deceiving people
We also decline hate speech, harassment, and content that targets private individuals.
What this means for your business
In practice, the list is often about a claim rather than a subject:
- Clinics and health services: we write about your services from the facts you send us. We do not write deceptive health claims, such as a promise of a guaranteed treatment result. We are not medical advisers, so the accuracy of medical information is your responsibility.
- Offers linked to income: courses, investment opportunities or work from home can be written about, but not with misleading promises of profit or income.
- Online stores: we do not write about counterfeit or replica products, whatever name they are sold under.
- Trades and local services: a page can state your prices, hours and areas from your brief. It does not promise what you cannot back up, and the automatic check holds back unsourced claims such as "cheapest" or "24/7" until a source is recorded.
When we refuse or stop an order
We can refuse an order that falls into these categories, or stop it at any point, including after production has started.
- If we do not accept the order at the start, we tell you and refund anything you paid.
- If we stop work after it has started, we refund what you paid for work not yet delivered, and we tell you why.
Claims we do not write, on any subject
- Rankings: no promise of a place in search results. On sales pages, the automatic check blocks any such promise outright.
- Unsupported figures on sales pages: numbers of customers, percentages, prices, and words such as "best" or "number one" need a recorded source before the page can be published. "Unlimited" and "award-winning" are not allowed at all.

Why we keep to this list
Because the content we publish carries your name, and some of it is published on blogs in our network. Misleading content harms your customers first, then your business, then everything we publish.
Not sure whether your subject is acceptable?
Ask us before you order. We would rather make it clear at the start than disagree about it later. In your message, give your field of business, the offer or topic you want written about, and any claim you plan to make. Asking costs nothing, and nothing is charged until you pay.
