A dedicated blog is a whole blog under your name: its own address, its own topic, and your name on it. We build it, host it and look after it, and we launch it with three articles. You never have to log in to anything.

What the $94 covers

The price covers the first year and includes:

  • Setup: design, structure and categories for your topic
  • Twelve months of hosting, with no separate hosting bill
  • An HTTPS certificate and security hardening from the first day
  • Automatic backups and uptime monitoring
  • Three launch articles, researched, written, checked and published, so the blog never opens empty
  • An address on a subdomain we provide, or on a subdomain of your website such as blog.yourbrand.com

How to order it

On the dedicated blog page, the order form asks what the blog should be called, the address you would like, its topics, and anything we must or must not say. Then choose a service level: Pro (+$69) adds approval before publishing, and Complete (+$109) also adds your brand on the report and a named author profile.

Articles after the launch

Order more articles whenever you like, at $15 each or in a pack. In the article order form, choose "On my own dedicated blog" as the place to publish, and we publish them for you. Each new article is linked to related articles already on the blog and added to its sitemap. Months without new articles cost nothing extra.

After the first year

  • We write to you before the year ends. Nothing is charged automatically.
  • The price. Another year costs $94 today. The renewal price is the price in force at the time of renewal.
  • To renew, use "Request renewal" in the Blogs section of your account, or reply to our email.
  • If you decide not to renew, we contact you before anything changes. Nothing is removed on the date without notice.
  • Your content. On request, we provide an export of your published content, so you can take it elsewhere.

Moving to your own address later

You can start on a subdomain we provide, then move the blog to blog.yourbrand.com when you are ready. We move it with the old links redirected, so nothing you have built is lost. The steps are in Connecting a subdomain of your own with one CNAME record.

How is it different from network articles?

Network articles are published on blogs we run, and they link to your website. A dedicated blog is one of your own assets: everything we write for you gathers at one address, on your topic, under your name. You can use both: network articles for reach, and a blog of your own that they point to.

Is it right for you?

It suits you if you plan to publish over the coming months and want all of it under your name. For a local business, that might be a blog answering the questions people in your area ask before they call, with every article pointing to your booking page or your phone number.

A quick test: if you can picture the list of topics you would want on the blog, it has something to grow on. If you cannot yet, start with a few network articles and come back to the idea later.
