Our aim is work that matches the brief you confirmed. If it does not, we correct it. If you want something different, that is new work. These rules come from the Terms of Service.
What we correct at no charge
If the delivered work does not match the brief you confirmed, we correct it at no extra cost. For example:
- A wrong fact, such as a price, an opening time or a service area
- A phone number that differs from the one in your brief
- The wrong tone
- The wrong emphasis
- Any other mistake on our side
Please raise it within a reasonable time after delivery, so we can put it right while the work is fresh.
What counts as new work
If what you ask for is materially different from the confirmed brief, it is new work with its own price. For example:
- A different offer
- A different audience
- A new topic
- A rewrite of a piece you approved
Either way, we tell you which of the two we think it is before we do anything, rather than quietly billing you.
Illustrative examples
| What you ask for | What it is |
|---|---|
| The number on the page is not the one in your brief | A correction |
| The page names a town your brief did not list | A correction |
| An article is more formal than you asked for | A correction |
| A second page for another service area | New work |
| A page for a different offer from the one you ordered | New work |
| An article on a topic that was not in your order | New work |
Facts that change after delivery
Everything we write about your business comes from what you tell us and from our own research, and you are responsible for the accuracy of the facts you give us. If a fact was right when you sent it and has changed since, such as a new price or a new phone number, write to us with the change. We tell you whether we see it as a correction or as new work before we do anything.
How to ask for a correction
Reply to one of our emails, write to hello@wannaseo.com, or use the chat on any page, and include:
- The link to the page or the article, from your delivery report
- What exactly is wrong
- What it should say instead, and the source if it is a figure
A clear request is handled faster. If you have several notes, put them in one message.
Approval before publishing means fewer corrections
On Pro and Complete, the work comes to you before it is published, and it only goes live with your approval. Details are in Reviewing work before it is published (Pro and Complete).
When money is refunded
The Terms of Service set out two cases:
- If we cannot accept an order because it falls outside what we do, or under our acceptable use rules, we tell you and refund anything you paid.
- If we stop work for that reason after it has started, we refund what you paid for work not yet delivered, and we tell you why.
The Terms also say that our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. More on that in Rankings, calls and sales: what we do not promise.
